Fund for a Safer Future is pleased to announce this year’s request for proposals to support research that will help answer the question: What works to prevent firearm-related death, injury, harm, or trauma, and promote healing?
If you’re a firearm violence prevention researcher, we look forward to reviewing your submission. View the full RFP here. The deadline to submit a letter of intent (LOI) for this RFP is June 14, 2026 at 11:59 pm ET.

Grantmakers: Join Us
Membership in Fund for a Safer Future means becoming part of a pooled fund. The pooled fund enables our member organizations to contribute to a single fund that is distributed in grants (and sometimes contracts) according to an overarching strategy that the donors collectively understand and support. This allows members to collaborate in the pursuit of a common goal. All members contribute into the fund and derive the benefits of shared strategy.
